My name is Johanna Münzer. After taking over the money box lock production from the long-established Joh. Stratmann GmbH, I am pleased to continue producing these Made in Germany locks together with my team.
Since 1953, when the first magnetic hammer was acquired for production, both the Stratmann family and we, the Münzer family, have stood for uncompromising quality. Every single lock goes through several manual steps and is made with the utmost care.
Our manufactory combines traditional craftsmanship with modern production methods. The result: durable, precise locks that meet the highest standards.

Frequently asked questions
What is a money box lock?
A money box lock (piggy bank lock) is a small lock that is inserted into the bottom opening of a money box or piggy bank. The cover plate closes the opening, and a latch clamps the lock to the inside. With the key you can empty the box without breaking it.
Which lock fits my money box?
Two measurements matter: the diameter of the opening in the bottom and the material thickness around it. Our locks cover openings from approx. 33 to 68 mm and clamp material up to 4 or 5 mm thick. For thin-walled boxes there is the rectangular lock no. 230503 for riveting. Use the lock finder on this page or ask us – we will gladly send free samples.
What is the minimum order quantity?
The minimum is 10 pieces per item. From 500 pieces you get an individual B2B price and free delivery.
How much do the locks cost?
Prices depend on item and quantity. Put your items together in the order request – you will receive a quote with volume prices and delivery date by email.
Can I get samples first?
Yes, samples are free of charge. Simply choose “Try samples first” in the order request.
How long does delivery take?
Items in stock ship at short notice. Large quantities are produced for the agreed date – tell us your preferred date in the request.
Are there replacements for old Stratmann locks?
Yes. We took over production from Joh. Stratmann GmbH. The specification table lists the matching Stratmann number for every item (e.g. 488 Kn), so you can reorder your previous lock directly.
What are the locks made of?
